The 58th Annual Toy Bowl concluded on Tuesday evening due to the weather raining us out on Saturday
The JV Raiders took home the JV championship game on Saturday before the rain washed us out. They beat the JV Packers 33-0
The American championship began Saturday. We had our first lightning delay about a minute into the game with the Wolverines threatening to score with the ball in the 1 yard line. After an hour delay we were able to start up again. With 3:33 left in the 1st quarter the lighting forced us to postpone the game until Tuesday. The Wolverines were leading the game 6-0. We picked up the game where we left off Tuesday evening at 6 pm. The Wolverines took home the championship by knocking off the Cowboys 50-20.
The National Cowboys went head to head with the Lions for the final championship game of the evening. The Cowboys jumped out to a 20-0 lead. The Lions made a game of it in the 2nd half with a 67 yards TD run in the 4th quarter. The Cowboys were able to hold on for a 20-13 win.
Congratulations to all the teams who played for the championship this year. Also a big thank you to all the volunteer coaches who were able to teach these young men and even young ladies how to play football. They will cherish these memories for life.
