The Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls is proud to announce September Youths of the Month. Preslee Tucker, from the Southwest Branch, is the Kiwanis Club of Wichita Falls Youth of the Month. Chloe Fisher, from the Southwest Branch, is the Optimist Club of Wichita Falls Youth of the Month. Zachary Dudley, from the Southeast Branch, is the Rotary Club of Wichita Falls Youth of the Month.

Service clubs sponsor three age divisions. Kiwanis Club of Wichita Falls sponsors 6-8 year olds. Optimist of Wichita Falls sponsors 9-11 year olds. Rotary Club of Wichita Falls sponsors 12-18 year olds.

Interviewers Barbara Lyne (Rotary Club of Wichita Falls) and Matt English (Optimist Club of Wichita Falls) considered the following attributes while selecting the City Wide Youths of the Month:

Preslee TuckerPreslee Tucker is the 8 year old daughter of Lonnie and Tami Tucker. She attends the Southwest Branch where Ms. Tori Smith is Club Director.

Preslee is a big help to both of her parents by helping around the house with the laundry, dusting, sweeping and vacuuming. She also enjoys helping her mom with meal preparation in the kitchen. Additional duties include caring for the family pet and helping her dad with yard work. Preslee has attended the Texoma Cowboy Church for the past three years and is active in their youth program.

Preslee is a 3rd grader at Fowler Elementary and proudly maintains an A/B on report card.    Her favorite class is Social Studies. She believes going to school is important so she can go to college.

As a member of the Southwest Boys & Girls Club Branch for the past two years, Preslee enjoys participating in the learning center and learning on the computers. She has received awards for her art pieces entered in the annual Fine Arts Exhibit at the Wichita Falls Museum of Arts at MSU. Her responsible attitude, helpfulness around the club, and positive attitude have earned her the right to be one of the youngest Junior Staff members!

Branch Director Tori Smith said, “Preslee is a very good example to other children and a very big help around the Club.”


Chloe FisherChloe Fisher is the 11 year old daughter of Bobby and Dawn Fisher. She attends the Southwest Branch of the Boys & Girls Club where Ms. Tori Smith and Cara Herr are Directors.

Chloe is a big help to her parents. She sweeps, vacuums, mops, and cleans the counters.  She also assists with meal preparations and has been seen putting out the trash on pick up days.

As a 6th grader at Jefferson Elementary School where she maintains an above average 3.5 G.P.A., her Mathematics Class is her favorite subject. She is also a participant in UIL Writing. She is also a member of her school’s cheerleading squad. Chloe believes school is important because it helps with learning and developing social skills. She dreams of becoming an artist but is also interested in the medical field as a paramedic or M.D.

Chloe has attended First Baptist Church for 5 years. She is in Children’s Church and attends Sunday school.

As a regular at Southwest Boys & Girls Club for the past five years, Chloe has been active in a variety of programs and activities. Her time at the Club is spent participating in the Arts and Crafts Program and the Computer Tech Program. Other programs include serving as a Peer Leader, Power Hour, Torch Club member, Sign Language Club, Learning for Life, and a member of String Club. Chloe looks forward to going to Camp Graham Ball and swimming in the Olympic-sized swimming pool.

Director Cara Thomas said, “Chloe is a very involved young lady who loves responsibility!”


Zachary DudleyZachary Dudley is the 13 year old son of Dennis and Faith Dudley. He has attended the Southeast Branch of the Boys & Girls Club for more than seven years.

The Club is one of Zachary’s favorite places to hang out and make friends. He is very active in all areas of the Club but especially enjoys serving his peers as a volunteer Junior Staffer. He is also a member of the Keystone Club. He has participated in the Basketball and Football Programs at Boys & Girls Club. Zachary also helps run pool, Ping-Pong, and foosball tournaments. When not volunteering, he enjoys participating in the Club Tech Computer Program, Arts and Crafts Program, and doing Triple Play Challenges in the gym. Zachary has participated at the Boys & Girls Clubs’ Camp Graham Ball and enjoys swimming in in the Olympic sized swimming pool.

As a 9th grade student at Burkburnett High School, Zachary maintains a better than average 3.5 G.P.A. and plays the trumpet for the band. He has played tennis, ran cross country in track, and is in the school’s Reading Club. Zachary says he enjoys learning new things and school gives him the opportunity to try things he’s never done before. His early career interests lie in the Archeology though he would like to become a tennis professional.

Zachary has been a member of First Baptist for seven years where he participates in the youth group, in Sunday School and has served as an usher. He volunteers in Children’s Church, helps with communion services, and teen functions and projects.

Branch Director Charlene Vomastek said, “Zachary is always serving and looking for ways to serve others.”
